Masterbatch lines

Our know-how in the field of extrusion lines for production of masterbatches is based on a long experience from the very beginning of Comac’s activity. This is proved by a rich list of references at many producers worldwide (often with repeated sales).
Masterbatch lines by Comac are used for production of materials addressed to a number of destination segments, from rotational and injection moulding, to sheet/foil/film extrusion, up to the most critical applications such as, for instance, tape/fiber/filament spinning.
Comac masterbatch lines, in various sizes, L/D ratios and configurations, have been supplied for production of:
  • Color Masterbatches starting from inorganic/organic pigment and base polymer powders
  • Black Masterbatches and White Masterbatches
  • Tailor-Made Color Masterbatches starting from predispersed masterbacth granules
  • Additive Masterbatches as, for instance, Halogen Free Flame Retardant Masterbatches
  • Multifunctional Masterbatches with color pigments and additives for different purposes
  • Generally speaking, masterbatches based on carriers mostly represented by polyolefines (typically, LDPE and LLDPE, and, PP and EVA too), but, also by ABS, by styrenic polymers, by technopolymers (like PBT, PC, Acrylic polymers, PET)
The high shear and output-oriented screw geometry of Comac extruders result in high pigment concentration within carriers with optimal dispersion. Their self-cleaning profile avoids long machine downtime. Extrusion heads (with relevant filtration units) are also designed for quick opening and fast color changes. Easy machine controls and automatic devices enable operators to supervise production with minimum effort.

Compounding lines
Our fully flexible compounding lines allow the production of commodity, engineering and speciality compounds. Sensible to the market trend we offer extruders able to produce a wide range of products in small-medium lots with high value added. In the mean time we supply the market with high output plants for standard compounds. The process is PLC managed with last generation software developed by Comac ensuring the complete control of the production parameters.
